CSRMA’s Recommended Risk Control Practices and Solutions

The CSRMA mission statement reads, “The California Sanitation Risk Management Authority is an association of wastewater agencies joined to protect member resources by providing broad coverage and quality risk management services that stabilize risk cost in a reliable, economical and beneficial manner.”

In order to assist members in identifying and addressing their risk exposures, the CSRMA Executive Board, with assistance from the Workers’ Compensation Committee and the Pooled Liability Committee, have assembled the CSRMA Recommended Risk Control Practices. These identify the more common loss exposures facing CSRMA’s members and the recommended risk control practices CSRMA believes will help mitigate these risks. Please note: This list of loss exposures is not all-inclusive, but is intended to identify the more common risks a wastewater utility must consider.

Clicking one of the buttons below will take you to the corresponding set of CSRMA Recommended Risk Control Practices, where you will also find interactive and downloadable resources to help your agency address each of the risks identified by CSRMA in the manner recommended by CSRMA.

CSRMA’s Risk Control Advisor, David Patzer, is available to provide assistance in determining how your agency’s Risk Control Program compares to the CSRMA 2006-07 Recommended Risk Control Practices. Mr. Patzer may be reached at losscontrol@sbcglobal.net or at 707.373.9709.
