Spill Response Resources Page
Use this page to access resources to help your agency respond to Hazardous Materials Spills, including those that occur:
- on site
- to the sanitary sewer
- to the storm sewer, and
- to surface waters
in compliance with CalOSHA and State Water Resources Board requirements.
Encountering and responding to hazardous materials spills to the sanitary or storm sewer, or even to surface waters, is an issue all wastewater utilities must anticipate and plan for as part of their mission to protect the public, environment and property. In addition to CalOSHA requirements for protecting your employees during these activities, wastewater utilities have a duty to be prepared to recognize and mobilize the appropriate response agencies and resources to protect the public, environment and property.
